Decatur - One Stop

When I moved into the JBHM last spring I began to frequent the bodega around the corner. They had just reopened that winter, and the new management was keen on being involved in the community. Since it was only walking distance from my studio, I was in and out before and after all my shows that season. later that summer Adam and his brother Mario asked me to do something for the store. We talked about landscape and about an "invisible eagle." I had a great time one sweaty weekend  getting to know all of my neighbors and enjoying free orangeade as I installed a piece for the Bom brothers at One Stop. The bodega on Moulton st. in Decatur was a chance to introduce myself to the neighborhood but it was also a chance to remember the opportunity contribute to my community with art.
